If you have a wet jet floor sweeper, you may enjoy this tip.

When you run out of the expensive cleaning liquid you may find that the bottle cap is clamped shut and can't be opened ...so they would want you to think! If you use a pair of channel lock pliers around the cap and apply firm and steady pleasure (do not jerk as it may damage the cap) counter clockwise the cap will come off intact and can be reused over and over again. The best part is once you successfully open the bottle once you no longer need the pliers for future refills. Simply add 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of your favorite floor cleaner and top off the rest of the bottle with tap water, re-cap the bottle and insert back on the sweeper as normal. This can be reused with no leaking.

The absorbent pads can be pricey too. Replace them with microfiber cloths (usually sold in bulk in the auto care section) and cut them to the correct size. The Velcro on the sweeper holds them in place perfectly. They are extremely absorbent, soft on your floors, and can be washed and used over and over again as well. Anyone who owns one of these sweepers knows that it is cheap to buy but the refills are extremely costly.
