Save Money, Do Your Own Taxes

I used to go to a very well known Tax Filing company every year. I got tired of spending out a ton of money after I figured out I could do it myself and save money. Since we file the long form and take every tax deduction we possibly can, I purchased one of the programs last year at Walmart. It cost me almost $100. This year, I was fortunate enough to see a commercial on tv for a program that did the same exact thing as I spent so much money on! It is called TaxAct. They have a FREE Edition that allows you to prepare, print and e-file totally free. It handles simple and complex returns. It comes with a "Deduction Examiner" and "Walk-through videos" which are NEW. If you decide to do the Deluxe Version, it costs $9.95. The Deluxe Version includes tracking the value of donated items, such as all your donated items to a charity or thrift store. I take things to Goodwill all the time. Did you know anything you donate to Goodwill is a tax write off? You also get a pretty good chunk of change allowance for your deduction for donating it. This version also has tax calculations and reports along with completing the FAFSA college application with ease. This was another reason I decided to chose the Deluxe Version this year.
The Deluxe Version will also help you with information that is going to be filed on a FAFSA College Application. That is another reason I chose the Deluxe Version this year. My son is going to college in the fall. The Ultimate Version is the power of the Deluxe + State. Get a State refund fast with E-file. You also get free guidance from tax specialists. This version costs you only $16.95.
