Baking Soda

Did you know that you can use baking soda to clean your hair, body, and face?

For straight limp hair it is recommended to use baking soda and then rinse with apple cider vinegar. For curly hair, it is recommended to use castile soap with a rinse of apple cider vinegar. Rinse after the apple cider vinegar so you don't end up smelling like a salad.

For extra body in your hair, use baking soda with a few sprinkles of oil. Oil is the best cleanser for the skin and does an awesome job of getting your makeup off without irritating your skin. You just sprinkle the baking soda solution on a wash cloth and wipe away the grime and dead skin cells. To remove your makeup, get your face wet and then work about 1 tsp. of any kind of oil all over your face. You can now get all your mascara and eyeliner off and your skin is not irritated. Your money is not wasted on expensive make up remover. Wipe off with facial tissues or use a wet washcloth.
You can use the same thing on your body. To moisturize the skin, add a little oil. Oil is needed to replenish moisture.

*The person that originally posted this information said that she had been using this for over four years and that she loved it. Her hands and face no longer got chapped in the winter time. Also that it was the only kind of soap she had used and had also quit using shampoos.
