Homeade Lice Treatment

Homeade Lice Treatment

This is a subject that we don't like to think about, but it does happen. Especially, if you have kids in school. Once it starts in the school it can take several treatments to completely get rid of it, making it a very expensive process for you. These treatments are not cheap when you buy them at the store.

Add this "recipe" to every shampoo, conditioner, and tangle spray.

Into a dark glass dropper bottle:

Fill 1/2 way with tea tree oil
Fill to 3/4 mark with lavender oil

Optional: add some Neem Oil (this can be harder to find and you may have to order if you want it.

Put on cap and shake.

Add 1/2 to 1 dropper to every shampoo and conditioner once you start to use it.
Tea tree and Neem do not smell very pleasant, but the lavender helps that. You may need to adjust the amounts to suit yourself, but it will also blend with most shampoo scents.

Also, make a detangle spray with diluted leave-in conditioner and some anti-lice drops.

This will repel lice, but not clean up an infestation. It will also keep other bugs (mosquitos, bees, etc) away since your kid won’t smell so much like a yummy strawberry flower.

There are lots of other lice related home treatments out there. This was one that I found on the internet that can be easily made.
